Hanzo replies, “The rule is that the match ends when someone admits defeat. I’m admitting defeat. This kid… he’s not strong. But his spirit is unbreakable. I could kill him, but that wouldn’t make him lose. And I didn’t come here to murder a child. He deserves to pass more than I do.” Hanzo sheathes his sword
Here is the full story of . The episode opens with the remaining participants of the Hunter Exam standing in the ruins of a great hall, its stone floor cracked and littered with debris from the previous trials. Only eight candidates remain: Gon, Killua, Leorio, Kurapika, Hanzo, Pokkle, Hisoka, and Illumi (disguised as “Gittarackur”). The proctor, Netero, appears with a serene smile and explains the final phase of the exam.
Gon, barely conscious, looks him in the eye. “Even if you cut my arm off… I won’t lose. I promised I’d become a Hunter. I’m not going back.” Gon, barely standing, looks confused but smiles weakly
As soon as Netero signals the start, Hanzo vanishes. Before Gon can react, Hanzo reappears behind him, lands a sharp blow to Gon’s neck, and sends him crashing to the floor. The audience of candidates watches grimly.
