In that version, Jason Schwartzman’s character, Jack, watches the end of Hotel Chevalier on a tiny laptop screen inside the train cabin, just before the snake escapes. It was a meta-loop, a grief-stricken man re-watching the moment his heart broke. He spent 200 hours on his reconstruction
